OTOT

Two people. No layers between you and the work.

You deal with the people who make the decisions and do the delivery. There is nobody to hand you down to.

What we do

We help ambitious organisations remove the constraints holding back growth.

Most businesses that come to us do not have a growth problem. They have a capability problem. The product still sells and the customers still buy, but the systems, the processes and the people were built for a smaller company.

We work across commercial strategy, customers, proposition, people, process, systems and data, and we find the constraint that actually matters. Then we help remove it.

How we think

Diagnose the business before prescribing the solution.

Our advantage is not a piece of technology or a methodology we need to sell you. It is the willingness to look at the whole picture before recommending anything.

What that means in practice

  • We start with the problem, not the tool.
  • We separate the symptom from the constraint. A broken CRM is often a symptom.
  • We ask whether we are about to make the right process faster, or the wrong one faster.
  • We do not manufacture work. Sometimes the right answer is small, or somebody else, or nothing yet.

Technology

AI, HubSpot, automation, CRM, data and software are levers we use once we understand the problem. They are not the proposition. If the answer is a spreadsheet, we will say so. If the answer is better management discipline, we will say that too.

Who you get

Ian and Neil.

Co-founders, both directors, fifty-fifty. The useful tension between us is that Ian asks whether we are solving the right problem, and Neil asks how we solve it. Both questions are needed.

Ian Hammond

Co-founder and CEO

Commercial strategy, sales, discovery and client leadership. Ian runs the diagnosis and holds the commercial frame, which mostly means making sure we are solving the problem that matters rather than the one that is easiest to describe.

Neil Bourne

Co-founder and COO

Operations, solution design, systems and delivery. Neil turns the diagnosis into working process, systems and reporting that still hold up after we have left the room.

How the work gets done

Two people, plus whoever the problem actually needs.

We do not pretend to employ every capability required to solve every problem. Depending on the work, delivery may involve us, your team, specialist partners, developers, designers or data specialists.

Our value is in the diagnosis, the design, the commercial leadership and making sure the thing actually gets finished. Not in personally performing every task.

We are

  • An Australian commercial partner, close enough to understand the problem.
  • Senior people doing the work rather than selling it and handing it down.
  • Direct about what is wrong, including when it is uncomfortable.

We are not

  • An AI consultancy or a HubSpot agency.
  • A digital agency or a software reseller.
  • A strategy firm that leaves you the slides and the problem.
  • A directory of fractional executives selling days.

Tell us what is holding you back.

One conversation. We will tell you what we think the constraint is and whether we are the right people to remove it.
